Operation Nimrod is a tribute to Blue Squadron of 22 SAS Raid on the Iranian Embassy Siege in London in 1980 and is proud to run this website.
At the time of the Raid on the Iranian Embassy Siege there was much disturbance in the middle east with the Irainian Ayatollah’s, the United States and United Kingdom as each others throats.
During the political meeting in the Iranian Embassy at Princes Gate, London a group of Iranian Terrorists over ran the Embassy brought their demand’s for the release of Iranian Political Prisoners.
The siege started on the 30th April and ended on the 5th May 1980.
Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher later explained that the reason there was no smoke coverage for the SAS was that she wanted to demonstrate what would happen if anyone else ever went up against Britain.
We shall be using a number of different venues depending on cost and also facilities. We may be doing a Helicopter drop and evac depending if the site still has the facility.
This will be for our First Team Mission.

Not everyone on in our Squadron owns their own Firearms at the moment so some rent them from the arenas we play in.

Usually the Ammo is supplied as part of the rental where we game. Some members also carry extra which you can purchase from our online shop via Amazon at no extra cost to you.
